This emotional rollercoaster has GOT to stop
This pregnancy has been so overly emotional.. I really feel like I am losing all of my nuts and bolts!!
October is a very emotional month for us to start with.. it's our anniversary next week.. and next week it marks the anniversary of my MIL's passing..
October was always such a happy month for us.. we would go pumpkin picking and stop at Bryemiers for pies.. and go trick-or-treating at our entire family's houses.. and now- (We live in Florida now)- with everything else I am soooo upset about not being able to pumkin pick and eat roasted LI corn and caramel apples and trickortreating.. I am soo upset.. I seriously want to buy a ticket to NY just for Halloween..

Can you throw a long-island-esque october celebration for you, your hubby and some close friends? maybe you can replicate some of the long island charm that you miss so much??

I have to buy my pumpkins from a grocery store-- I grew up less than 20 minutes from eastern LI.. its like sacreligious!! LOL.. My friend down here told me that she would buy pumpkins and throw them in a field for me if she had to... lol.. I found corn at a health food store.. but its not the same..
I am just so overly emotional.. and for some stupid reason, this is just making me feel so homesick...

I saw this post and smiled, DH and I miss our Southern Halloweens so much Perfect weather, our friends always had poolside halloween parties. kids trick or treat till the crack of dawn. Our old subdivison use to host a party in every garage. Like a big block party. Then we would always go to Halloween Horror nights at universal.
I would also trade pumpkin picking for strawberry festival anyday.
