Anyone live in the Three Village area?
My DH and I are starting to discuss moving and we are looking at the "S" (Strathmore) section of Stony Brook so far.
Do you like the area? Are there a lot of things to do with kids there (gymboree, my gym ...)
Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Anyone live in the Three Village area?
I lve in East Setauket - Not too far from the S section. It's a beautiful area - pretty good school district. There's a park close by - on Sycamore - right off Nichols road.
There is a Mommy and me on 347 - maybe 10 mins away. I'm not sure about Gymboree? The duck pond is close by - a lot of mommies bring their kids to feed the ducks and hang out.
Also West Meadow Beach is 15 minute car ride. It's rocky but the water is great for kids (no waves or undertoe) and they have a play area.
I'm trying to think of anything else....
ETA: Correct name where playground is.

Re: Anyone live in the Three Village area?
you have the mall, port jefferson, lots of shopping and easy access to the LIE.
ETA: the S section has 2 parks, the one at the entrance and one smaller one on the circle plus the one mentioned above on Oxhead (across Nicolls Rd by the Jr High). Also, they have a great community wide group called the S Section Circle of Friends that hosts events at the smaller park on the circle.
I lived there from the ages of 15-25.
