Our new cat hasn't eaten...
We got him yesterday. He's eaten a little of the hard food. It was just a nibble. Is this normal? Could it be cuz he has to get used to our place? DH hasn't given him the soft food yet. Maybe he is waiting for that...
What do you guys think. DH was a little concerned but I said "he's young and active and wants to play, just like little kids do. They love to play all the time and don't give a thought to food...LOL, until they are yelled out to eat"...LOL But we are not going to yell at the cat to eat. DH said he was going to bring him to the dish...I say let him find it on his own, he's gotta learn for himself...right?

I agree with you -- he'll eat when he wants to. My dog will not eat if he is alone..no matter how long he is alone for. If a long time goes by, I would show the cat the bowl, hand-feed a few morsels kind of leading him to it, and stay there while he eats at least in the beginning while he is adjusting to his new home.

Yeah DH did that yesterday with the hard food last night and he also showed him his litter box. He went in the litterbox and nibbled at some of the hard food.
