Going off the pill / weight gain...
Since I went off the pill a few months ago I have gained weight (about 7 lbs) and not been able to lose it. It's like my body is getting ready to get preggo or something! I have been eating pretty typically for me so I have to attribute it to stopping the pill (I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen for a long time)! My face also breaks out so much more now! 
Has anyone else experienced this?

Crap! I dont get it. You go on the pill you gain weight, You get off the pill you gain weight again?
I was hoping to lose that 5lbs when I got off, I guess no such luck. I probably got a good 6 months before Im ready to get off it.
Ive been OTC and switched to Lo a few months ago, but who knows if that matters.
I honestly havent heard of anyone gaining weight when getting off..............

I lost a few pounds when I came off the pill and I have found it easier to continue losing the weight once off of the pill.
Now the skin issues - completely different story

i think i also gained a few pounds as well, but that could just be a coincidence because I have been snacking a lot more lately. But as far as my skin, my face seems to have cleared up more....I find that I have a lot less zits since being off the pill...go figure..everyone is different.

i didn't really gain any weight, but my skin is a disaster. i've been off it for a year now and i'm still breaking out constantly. it's bizarre, i never had this problem as a teenager and now that i'm 29 i do! argh...

My skin! Ughhh, its awful. Since I've gotten off the pill I regularly break out. I guess I need to use Proactive again.
As far as weight its about the same, except I've been trying to lose weight and have been a little more successful. I find that I hold more water weight during my period now though.

Same with me. I was married 10/05, went off 12/05 (not ready to TTC but wanted to stop), and have been up about 10lbs since my wedding day weight (granted due to stress I was probably -5 on my wedding day compared to reg. weight). But I have not changed my diet ONE BIT. It's very frustrating and I've lost the will to try to lose it b/c nothing helps.

I am so sorry you are going through the same thing  What pill were you on? I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen.
I think I am going to try WW. I will let you know if I have any success!

LOL - I think we have a lot in common. I joined WW online today (inspired by your post last night!). Also, I'm a "Mrs.NYPD" and I think we both got married at NRC, if I remember correctly from LIW.
I was on Yasmin - I miss having no cramps and barely 3 days of AF!

LOL - yes - I did get married at the NRC also! That is too funny! Let me know how the online WW is!! I think I need the pressure of the class and being weighed in every week to actually force myself to do it!  I was going to go last night but decided that since I have a wedding this weekend that I am probably better off starting next week!

I had to join online b/c I can't lie in person. I don't "qualify" to join, so I had to adjust my height. I'm 5'5, but had to make myself 5'2 in order to track my weight. Like I said, I'd be happy just to lose a few lbs. I don't even care about the actual number on the scale, I care more about having to buy new jeans!! Denim is expensive these days, and those jeans are tight LOL!
