Just diagnosted with gest. diabetes.
I am sooo upset. Has anyone gone through this or is going through this?? What should I expect?
I am going to a specialist on Tuesday.
Any info would be great.

My girlfiend at work had GD. They put her on a diet. It actually gave her more energy than she had her entire pregnancy.

I am currently a gestional diabetic on insulin. Do you have any specific questions?
They will try to control it with diet and exercise. The diet isn't bad, you just have to watch your carbs. I am only allowed 20carbs for breakfast, 45 lunch and dinner. Unfortnately, for me diet control did not work and the more pregnant I become the more insulin resistant I am.
