Baby Shower for Twins - gift related
I have a baby shower coming up and my friend is having twins. Normally I would spend about $50-60 on a gift (we are friends but not close friends). Should I spend more since she is having twins?
I already bought her monitor and 2 swaddle me blankets, it came to about $75 and I had a coupon and saved some $.
Should I buy more? Or is that enough? I also bought 2 wishing well gifts.

I think that's a nice gift for someone you aren't that close to. If you really felt like you wanted to add a little something more, you could pick up a package of newborn diapers when they go on sale. God knows she'll need them!

I think that's plently for a friend's shower. One of my very good friends just had twins and although I spent more on her babies gifts, none of my other friends did since they aren't as close.

I agree. I would not go out and buy another $50 item, but I would get dipers and wipes in addition to the other stuff you purchased.

I think your gift sounds just right. After all, the moniters will be of great use for both babies.

I think that is plenty but if you want you could go to TJ Maxx or Marshalls and get two cute outfits-some advice-my friend was not crazy about the matching outfits for her twins-she thought it was kind of a waste. you could probably get that for about 30-40

Re: Baby Shower for Twins - gift related
DH's best friend had twins last year. We bought them their 2 high chairs (and spent a FORTUNE! The only benefit is that I know they will spend the same on us for our baby that we spent on their 2 babies.) We went in with a budget and spent what was within ght budget, regardless of how many babies it was for. If it wasn't 2 babies, we would have bought the high chair and something else like a stroller. Spend what you would spend. Don't worry about the number of babies it is for!

I think what you've spent is vey generous. I am expecting twins, and would never expect my friends to feel they have to buy two of something. I expect that they will spend whatever they normally would for one - or they will pair up and each buy oone of an item.
