Question about Europe

My DH and I are going to London and Paris over spring break this coming April and I just realized my spring break at school goes two days after Easter. I was thinking of changing my airline tickets two days later and going to Belgium also. Does anyone know of transportation to Belgium from Paris (other than plane) and how long the ride would be????

Any Belgium hotels would be appreciated also. THANKS in advance.

We went to London and Belgium on our HM last year. You can take the train from Paris to Brussels. We flew home from Paris, so we took the train from Brussels and it took about 90 minutes. I don't remember what it cost though. We stayed a beautiful hotel just behind the Grande Place in Brussels (like the town center, gorgeous!) called Hotel Amigo. Brussels was gorgeous. We took a day trip by bus to the city of Brugge which was absolutely breathtaking. It's a medievil town (still orginial architecture) that sits on these canals. Very beautiful and romantic.

FM me if you have any questions.

I'm pretty sure you can take a train but it might take a while. We went to Belguim and loved it. We stayed at the Hilton Brussels and it was very nice. I think it was a little way's walk from stuff but they had a subway and we never minded the walk. We also went to Brugge on a day trip and it was a great town - we loved it there!

Thanks girls

I think we might just keep the trip the way it is. It sounds like 2 extra days isn't enough time to make a trip out of it.

Is Brugge a possible day trip from Paris??? Please excuse my geographic ignorance. Chat Icon

Brugge was about a 90 minute ride by bus from Brussels, so I don't think it would be doable from Paris. Brugge is in Northwest Belgium. Brussels is smack in the middle, and just about every day trip outside of Brussels is about 2 hours from it.

Re: Question about Europe

So I convinced myself that 2 nights was worth it so I tried to change my airline tickets and they said it would be $200 a ticket just to change it. I thought that was ridiculous.

Does this sound right???? I thought it was like the most $50 a ticket to change.

Re: Question about Europe

for domestic flights most airlines will charge $100 to change a ticket. We just booked a trip to Paris for November and were told that if we made any changes it would be $200 - which is what I think most international flights charge.
