not really near Commack, but Bloomin Haus in Holtsville is WORTH THE TRIP!

those hanging baskets are so gorgeous! I get 2 every year they're only $25 each!

for plants...you have to check out Priantie (sp?)
it isnot that far off the NS exit 42, take it north.. when the road splits stay right... it will be on your right..

It's a bit far....but we went to the Glass Greenhouse in Riverhead yesterday and they have a ton of plants!
