hard stomach
is anybody's stomach hard above their belly buttons, but not really hard below it...

Yes. I assume it's b/c the baby's head is down and his back and butt are up top.

Yes...I just noticed the other day how kind of "jiggly" it's getting down on my belly...it all used to be hard, but now it's only hard up top.

but I am only 17 weeks.....I have heard other people say that their stomach was rock hard...

At 17 weeks maybe it'll just take a few more weeks to get rock hard...I remember mine wasn't that hard until a later on. Just remember everyone is different.
If you're having real concerns...call your doc...maybe they'll tell you to come in and they'll ease your mind!
