My mom is turning 50 and I need ideas ladies!
My mom is the type of person that will go out of her way to help someone but never expect anything in return. She's turning 50 and I'd love to do something extra-special for her. I was thinking of booking a spa day but I'm looking for some other "unique" ideas. Have any of you done anything good for someone's big 5-0? I know that if I ask her what she wants she will say nothing.

I'm not sure where you live, but Cactus has an all day pamper package.
They will pick her up in a limo, take her to the salon for the works (mani/pedi, massage, hair, make-up), order her lunch, take her home.
I did something on a smaller scale for my mom because we threw her a party also.
My mom LOVED it!!
ETA: sorry, just realized you were looking for something DIFFERENT.

Can you get pictures of her growing up until now and make a montage DVD set to music? I just made one to play at my daughter's first birthday. It's a great way to have a lot of pictures easy to look at all at once and the music is a nice touch too. I have had people do them for anniversaries, birthdays, etc.
