what are some of the top school districts in LI?
We have started to look for a house and I was interested in the best school districts, so that I can search accordingly

Being that I teach and coach in a nassau county school and know a lot of people within the educational and athletic school communities, here is my view of the top school districts in Nassau:
Rockville Centre
Great Neck
Jericho
Syosset
Massapequa
Manhasset is ok
Garden City
Hewlett/Woodmere
Cold Spring Harbor
Lynbrook
Herricks
Wantagh is pretty good
Plainview-Old Bethage, Bethpage are good
Oceanside is good as well
Rosyln, Lawrence: kind of a mess right now
Port Washington
Plainedge
Levittown and Hicksville are decent not great
Merrick-Bellmore is good
Seaford is ok
Parts of the Valley Stream district is good
Farmingdale, East Rockaway is decent not great
Stay away from Freeport, Uniondale, Hempstead, Westbury, Baldwin

East Meadow is ok from what I hear....They have a good soccer team!
