Mom's - I need some advice!

My week w/ Joseph has been awful. He had that virus Sun and Mon w/ a 104 temp. Finally Wed it broke. But he has been MISERABLE and cranky since then. Crying crying crying and whining. He's been tossing and turning all night and waking some nights since every 2 hours and some nights since every 45 minutes or so to nurse. It seems all he wants to do is nurse. And now today he's on his second almost 2 hour nap. Even napping he wakes up crying and wanting to nurse. I just don't know what to do. He's so sad! Could it still be the virus in him or do you think something else is going on?Chat Icon

He could still be getting over what he had. Antonio took about 4-5 days after the fever broke to be 100%. He might also be thirsty from the heat or trying to catch up from when he was sick. Unless he develops any other symptoms or the fever comes back he prob still fighting what he had.

Chat Icon I hope he feels better soon.

have you tried giving him some pedialyte or plain water in a bottle? with that high of a temp, he is probably dehydrated and thirsty more than hungry, which is why he's always wanting to nurse?

He loves to drink water and has been but this nursing thing is still going strong. Last night he woke 5 times. And he's still crying. I don't know what to do!Chat Icon

Sounds like what Jake just had. It took a while for him to get back to his normal self. He wasn't waking during the night but I was having a very hard time getting fluids in him so it's a good thing that Joseph wants to nurse alot - it'll help him get better faster. Chat Icon
