Rich had to put down his cat today
Pepper the russian blue was 18 years old, and sooooo senile.
For the past month, he'd been confined to the tile floor in the kitchen because he couldn't control his bodily functions. In addition to peeing EVERYWHERE, he'd manage to walk himself into a corner, and wasn't able to figure out how to get out unless someone physically turned his head so he could find a way out.
The cat was 18. Rich is 23. He's upset, of course, but he understands that the kitty just wasn't happy.
I'm highly allergic to cats and I much prefer dogs, so I never really warmed up to Pepper...but please say a quick little something so my baby's baby finds his way into kitty heaven!
(His parents still have Pepper's companion - an orange and white guy that is 19!  )
