An update to our sleep issues....
Well, as I posted....our 2nd night (Thur night) of trying CIO went horribly wrong. I picked her up, calmed her down.....she faded out in my arms while I shushed her and swayed her (part of the concept from Happiest Baby on the Block). I put her down, she opened her eyes-->I rubbed her belly and her head and shushed her and she fell asleep.
IT seems part of her problem is night wakings, if you can call them that. I guess she realizes shes' lost the paci and cries out, but she keeps her eyes closed and goes right back out when we give her the paci back. She can wake as little as 1 1/2 hrs after falling asleep and after she's in our bed, she sleeps for HOURS without interruption (except to have her early AM feeding around 4 or 5 am).
Tonight, she took her bottle at 7pm and she was showing signs of being tired around 7:45/8pm. I put her down, she was gassy--holding her legs up, etc. I rubbed her belly, kept giving her the paci back when she'd spit it out, and she kept rubbing her head back and forth (all the while, her eyes red and REALLY heavy). She faded out herself while I stood there watching her and has been down since then.
