Ideas for Graduation gift
Any ideas on a graduation gift? I dont want to give money because its my best friend and its taken her forever to graduate. Any ideas?

a Briefcase or Tote Bag she can take to work
Nice Earrings, bracelet or Necklace for interview (Pearls are always good)
GC for a Clothing Store to buy a Suit
GC to a restuarant
GC for a Spa Day
GC for a Bookstore

When Rich graduated as an elem teacher, he got some GCs to the teacher supply store (he LOVED those, 'cause he goes there all the time, and it gets expensive), some workwear, i bought him a tie tack (he wears a tie everyday)....etc.
Stuff like that.
A spa GC is also a great idea - she probably needs to destress!!!!!

What about a GC to a teacher store to get stuff for her room? Anyone I know who is a teacher spends a lot of money each year on their room. But I'm not a teacher, so maybe that's a dumb idea.

I second the idea of a GC for a spa day.
Or, if teacher stores do gift certificates, that might be good. Depending on where she ends up (if she is not already working), she may need/want to get fun things for her classroom, and those things add up.
ETA- sarahsmommy, we posted at almost the same time. I don't think it's dumb at all, as a teacher myself I'd love that.

She lives/teaches in brooklyn, but honestly I dont see myself trekking out there to get her a gift certificate. I hate the belt parkway!!
ETP - are there any teacher supply chain stores?

The best graduation gift I got from a friend was a silver charm bracelet with three charms on it. One was a graduation cap, one was a symbol of the city I lived in at the time and the third was symbolic of how we met. It was so thoughtful, and then I started adding more charms to it. It always made me think of her when I wore it. (It got stolen a few years ago  )
