introducing the sippie cup?
Hi - I am trying to introduce a sippie cup to Jake with water. My question is, what type of water do I give him? Bottled water, tap water, do I boil the tap water? Just wanted to know what everyone else did. Thanks

I live in Queens, and my ped said to give him water from the tap. I even used it to make his formula.

Re: introducing the sippie cup?
I always gave Andrew water from our water cooler (Poland spring or Great Bear), but my pedi said that was not necessary and he should just drink regular tap. The drinking water is fine since it comes from a water system and not a well.

I give him "Nursery" baby water that I buy at babies r us. It has flouride in it. The books I've read say that the babies need extra flouride in their water.

Re: introducing the sippie cup?
My pediatrician always told me it was fine to give my son tap water b/c the floride is good for them. I am about to start introducing the sippy cup also- my son will be 7 months this week.
