Starting to have anxiety about giving birth...
anyone else? It is horrible i think about it and I freak out...i just can not believe that it can happen within 10 weeks and the fear of the unknown is getting the best of me. I fear what if something goes worng, what if my baby is not healthy what if something happens to me and my baby is left without me...I try not to think about it but when I am laying awake at night it takes over my mind.

Try to relax. These fears you have are the same ones that most of us have- and they are the same ones that I have. Take comfort in the fact that this is the fear of most women. I read a great book at the beginning of my pregnancy- the Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy and they discussed all these fears. It made me feel good to know that I am not alone. It also helps to see how far I have come with the pregnancy and all the thigns I worried about never happened. It will all be OK!!

I felt this way many many times. My mother told me try to remember the pain is only temporary. That still didn't help me. 
Everyone in the hospital makes you feel so comfortable especially the nurses. My doctor was the best too.
Everything will be okay...just try to relax.

Ladies If you do a past search you will see I started a similar thread a while back, I was terrified! especially because I had taken NO birthing classes ( because I was on bedrest) I had no idea what to expect, but once things get started it goes by so fast and the nurses and drs are there to comfort you as much as they can! And once you get to know your baby is really coming all you want to do is meet the precious lil bean!

I think from the moment you become pregnant the anxiety of " giving birth" starts to hit..

I've been feeling the same way, but after being admitted to L&D this morning I actually feel more relaxed. The doctors and nurses were so nice and really made me feel comfortable. I also didn't know what to expect, because our maternity tour was cancelled on Sunday because of the snow and my childbirth class is supposed to be this weekend. Still don't know if the baby will hold out for that!
