I am soo confused- can you ovulate the 8th 0r 9th day...
after your first day of your AF??? I could swear the pains I felt are just like the ovulating ones I get, could it just be the hormones changing? I havent done the OPK strip yet b/c it says to start the 14th day after AF arrived.

Yes you can even ovulate during Af, it's rare but it happens. I ovulated day 11. You should never start an opk, cd14. That's usually too late....
If you don't know when you normally ovulate, you should start about a week before cd 14.

Yes - what Redstar said. You also may notice that you O on a different cycle day each month. My normal O day is cd15-16. But this month it looks like it will be more like cd19-20.
OPKs really help to figure it out....and CM too.

This just happened to me but on day 7 after the first day of AF and I remembered this post. I felt slight pinching cramping pains in my lower left so thought I was o'ing, but then it followed by some CM, pretty clear CM. What do you think this means? Do the pains come before you O?

not sure, but I def O'd then! I got my AF very early last month( 27 days- Im never 27 day cycles??) - I guess Im becoming irregular- according to last month I should be due today- nothing yet so I will see by day 32 which is my normal cycle if AF comes, I think when we feel the pain that means we are going to ovulate. HTH

If your cycle was 27 days, it's most likely you ovulated, around cd 13. Not much before that. I am not sure how long your Af is but if it's around 5 days, and you were crampy day 6, your AF would have showed at around cd 20. Sometimes our bodies have twinges that we think are all kinds of 'signs'.
