I hope I don't sound dumb, but I'm a getting a little confused. I've been on BC for 1 year now and I have a question...

I know by being on BC it stops the release of an egg, but there's a precteage that an egg can be released, right?

So is there still and ovulation time frame? Should you still track and find out when you are ovulating?

I've been a little scared getting of PG (not TTCing yet) we use the withdrawal method everytime. Can he say "inside"?

If you take BC every day and don't forget, the chances of you becoming pg from unprotected sex (esp the pull out method) is very slim. I believe they're like 98% effective.

I would say you are highly unlilky to get PG.

See my msg above, yes, he can stay inside. there's always that 2% chance, so if you worried about that, continue with the pull-out method.

If it's any comfort, I was on BC for 7 years, and with DH, for the last two years, he never pulled out. NEVER got pregnant, though I took my pill consistently every single morning. Two months after going off the pill, I did get pregnant, so as long as you use it correctly, it is like 98% effective...

i was on the pill for 8 years and we never pulled out and i didn't get pg. i think the pill alone is pretty effective. i think i read that even if you are not on the pill and are trying to get pregnant you only have like a 20% chance of getting pregnant each month.
