Working Moms - Mommy & Me - Trying to start a Saturday 1 - 2 year old class
After reading a post Jamie posted a couple of weeks ago about Once Upon A Playtime in Smithtown, I called them and asked about a Saturday class. I work full-time so I can't do the Monday-Friday classes.
They will put together a class for 1 - 2 year olds on Saturday if I can get a minimum of 5 people, I already have 3, myself included and 2 other ladies from LIFamilies.
The classes start the 1st week of February and is 16 weeks long. If you are interested, please FM me and I will give you more details. TIA

I just wanted to add, that we LOVED it there! I can't wait for us to start our next class! I really saw so much growth in my daughter in her fine motor skills and her listening and attention span. Jeanne and Barbara are great! If anyone has any questions about the place please feel free to FM me!

I just wanted to add, that we LOVED it there! I can't wait for us to start our next class! I really saw so much growth in my daughter in her fine motor skills and her listening and attention span. Jeanne and Barbara are great! If anyone has any questions about the place please feel free to FM me!

I have spoken to both Jeanne and Barbara and they both sound so wonderful. I'm hoping we can get another 2 to join in our age group!!!

If this was for older kids I would love it. I too think it is total BS that working moms are left out of all activities especially Mommy & Me stuff at the Library. Good for you for calling them!!!

Gymboree and My Gym have Saturday classes if this one doesn't work out! I'm so happy to hear that Isabella will be taking a class, she will have so much fun, we started at 6 months of age and it really brings out a different side of the kids when they are around other kids their age. Have fun!!!

I feel the same way you do. I just had the same conversation yesterday with one of my coworkers. All the activities (free) at the library are during the week and most Mommy & Me type classes are only during the week.
I finally called them because Jamie told me that if we got enough people together she knew they would add a class!!

I looked into My Gym and for our age group they only offer a Sunday class for 1 hour. I also looked into Gymboree and depending on the location/schedule they have Saturday classes but they are only 45 minutes long and the prices are different depending on location (ie. Oakdale vs. St. James).
It is good to know that we have something to fall back on though in case we don't get enough people to join.
I have heard from several Mom's what a great time there children have and how they really seem to thrive. Can't wait to start Isabella in one of these classes....xoxox Ellie

I have a 3 1/2 year old boy and I am due in February with a girl. I would love to have play dates for my son on the weekends. I would only need a few weeks off after the baby is born, Daddy will stay with her during playdates or they could be at my house after a few weeks.

I wish we lived closer. We are in East Meadow and I have been wanting to sign up for some kind of class with Jenna. Have any of you heard of Music together? Any feedback?

A friend of mine has been going to the Music Together classes for a couple of months now and LOVES them. Her daughter is 1 1/2.

Music together is great. Alot of my friends take there kids to it. I am planning on bringing Jacob there when he is 6 months old. I think before that they won't appreciate it. So it looks like I will do it in the spring.
I heard it books up quickly so if your are interested in that get the info now!!!!

I am in queens and wished I could get something with marissa for the weekends I wouldn't care if it was a saturday or sunday I would even be willinto travel to nassau
