Does anyone else get annoyed with the Motherhood Maternity store?

OMG, I want to strangle them everytime I'm in there to buy something. I love the clothes and I think the prices are reasonable, however, they HARASS you when you go to purchase something. I do NOT want to be on their mailing list. I don't care about their coupons or free products, I just want to purchase something and leave. And they give me SUCH a hard time, they basically told me that I can't buy something without giving my personal information. Finally, I just made up an address. ARGH! I'm so mad about this. I think it's a huge inconvenience and horrible business practice. Did they ever hear of NO MEANS NO!?!?!?!

Thats why I buy most of their things at macys - and you can return at macys

I have started shopping at Macy's instead, but I am still so heated over their policy to harrass their pregnant customers. I haven't even been there lately, I was just sitting here thinking about it and it annoyed me.

My other issue was one time I went in there, spent a decent amount of money (first time I went shopping for maternity clothes) and it was sooooooooo HOT in there. There were 2 or 3 other REALLY pregnant ladies in there, with their friends or family. We all started complaining. We told one employee and then I said something to the cashier (the other lady I told was there too) and the lady at the register said, I am not feeling good and I have the chills that is why I have the heat up. So I said would you rather have preggo people passed out. She said sorry that is the way it is. I think the girls in the Smithaven one are sooooooo RUDE!!

they work on partial commision, could be why. My MIL used to work there for years...

I think the worst part is how SMALL the stores are. PG people, crammed in with a ton of clothes? Doesnt make sense.

I haven't had a problem regarding rudeness. But then again I'm not shopping on Long Island. Although I do agree those stores are way to small and their return policy s*ck$!

I went to the one in Tanger Outlets and tried on a few nursing bras and the girl was helpful. She even wrote the style numbers down of the ones I tried on in case I wanted to come back and buy them.

The ones I go to at the Source Mall and Sunrise mall, nobody has ever helped me. Everytime I go I noticed it is very hot when I go and who wants to shop when its that warm.

Also my girlfriend got suckered into giving them her address when she made a purchase and they signed her up for Parenting magazine, which she didn't want....now Parenting is sending her bills

I havent had any problems there, and i bought all my maternity clothes there so far.

I agree with everything said here. I think the heat is the most unbearable part of shopping there. The next most aggravating thing is the return policy.

BTW - it is hot in there EVERY TIME I GO!!! Not just when one of the girls isn't feeling well.

I got some nice free samples and coupons from them. I gave them my mailing address and never received anything though.

I don't shop at any of the LI locations. The ones in queens are just fine. Specially the one closest to me. They are very nice and not pushy at all. I love going there.

And their return policy is terrible. Basically the sale is FINAL!
