so my girl is a bit congested and the dr said
to use Saline drops.. They are called little noses .. has anyone used these and how did they work??

It's a spray - works just like Afrin. Keep the baby upright, insert nozzle in her nostril & spray. She's going to hate it but it will help her. Also try to feed her in an upright position (almost 90 degree angle) as much as possible. If she has problems sleeping at night, you can also have her sleep in her car seat.

You can also use Aryn - it's a saline solution. It helps to clear their nose. When Emma was stuffy the doctor also said to use a cool mist humidifier.

I've used them, infact just recently as well since Aidan was pretty clogged last week.
He's not a huge fan, but if you're fast it does the trick..

thanks ladies.. I have a humidifier going always in her room.. but she just seems so unhappy and its hard for her to breath.. ok so I am going to go get the drops thanks..

The drops I was told until they are older you lay the baby down & let them drop in her nose. (2 drops each nostril)

Yes. My DS is 7 months and this is how I did it last week.

We've used these with Emily and were told to do it lying down also. Just one drop in each nostril and about 5 min after I usually use the dreaded boogie sucker to get any stuff out that may have been lurking in there.
Usually I do it after her bath -- give the drops, bathe her, put on her lotion, dress her then do the asperator.

I agree with all the comments about letting a drop or 2 go in their nose - Don't squeeze the bottle like a nose spray!! Your poor baby will be tortured with a noseful of the stuff. They do work.

The product "Baby Simply Saline" is new and really easy to use on an infant. I know Walgreens and Rite Aid carry it. It is preservative free and sterile.

thats the one i bought... the pharmacist recomnded it and said it was easier on the baby.. and its more like a mist then a spray..
