Re: Breast feeding
# of diapers in a day.. what is normal? What I meant by pumping is that she has never pumped ever or has said she never leaked either. TIA

Re: Breast feeding
I BF my son for 1 year, and I never leaked... Maybe once at night a few times when he stopped his night feedings and went the whole night. BUt I guess he emptied enough for my body to regulate the milk flow. And he was a power s u c k e r and he still nursed for more than 10 minutes.
I did pump because I wanted to, but I didn't have to. If you are able to provide your baby with the breast for each feeding, you don't really need to pump.

Re: Breast feeding
I still BF Jeremy and he is 13 months and if I go too long I leak. He should have 5-6 wet diapers a day... If the baby is gaining weight and he has wet diapers than she MAY be feeding him but 2-4 minutes is barely enough time for let down to occure (ok its enough time but that isnt a long period of time to feed, only foremilk not hindmilk)
ETA: I can pump for DAYS and only get 2-4oz of milk with both breasts. Some people just dont work with pumps.
