Re: ANOTHER CLEAR BLUE MONITOR QUESTION
I didn't use mine for two months (we were going on vacation and something else and I knew I wouldn't be able to test consistently during the window), and when I started again, I tested for a few days (it may have been ten but I'm not sure) but went from low to egg and then it didn't ask me test again.

Re: ANOTHER CLEAR BLUE MONITOR QUESTION
I used it for the first time last month.. and it asked me to start testing on day 6. This month, it only started asking me on day 8. Since I'd gone on vacation and was sleeping in.... the days weren't changing fast enough when I woke up upon my return. In other words- that was not necessary for you to know- LOL, I've got the gift of the gab sometimes... anyway- I would be curious to know why you didn't have a peak? Do you think it's b/c it was someone else's? They say not to give it to someone else or use someone else's... not sure about that one.
Baby dust to you!!!!

Re: ANOTHER CLEAR BLUE MONITOR QUESTION
i think it could have been a few reasons
1) it could be b/c its someone else's 2) It could be b/c i was putting to much pee on teh stick( LOL) 3) This is the one im hoping is not true- that maybe i am not pvulating, although it did move to high so who knows just not PEAK

Re: ANOTHER CLEAR BLUE MONITOR QUESTION
Ok let me try to explain how this monitor works......Basically when the monitor gets to know you, it will automatically go on "high" about 5 days before your LH surge. Since sperm can last about five days...in the right cervical fluid.....(atmosphere)......that is the time, you should BD.....(fertile phase) However, when it's someone else's machine, it will ask you to start testing earlier, perhaps, if they ovulate earlier than cd14.....if the monitor is brand new,...it will start asking you to test....around....cd9.... 9+5=14...and 'textbooks' state that ...women ovulate day 14...HOWEVER, any woman who has been ttc, knows that the TEXTBOOKS don't apply to most of us. When the monitor reads your LH ......it will reach PEAK.....even if your LH is there for only one day...the monitor will show...PEAK FOR TWO DAYS...(again this is a computerized monitor, it's doing what it's programmed to do...it doesn't individualize ). Now, many times the monitor...needs 3 cycles to get to know you...that's a huge disadvantage of it. I am going to post the picture, I have of the test strips and how to read them...so , you can sort of look for an increase in you LH by hoping the line nearest the urine.....is the darkest. TWO LINES.....the same darkness does not mean LH surge, the way an OPK can ...although ideally, you want the testing line to be darker using an OPK as well. It's all very confusing and it takes awhile to learn your body. I highly suggest...using opks and temp charting, as well as using the monitor. At least in the beginning, to get to know your body. If your monitor doesn't show you, a Peak but your temps shift .....and become biphasic or triphasic, then you can clearly see ovulation has occured. If you are under a doctor's care, you can go in at what you feel is 7 dpo and see what your progesterone level is to confirm ovulation. Btw, you don't need much pee on the stick...put under your urine for about 5 seconds...that's it...as long as the urine is moving across, the window.....you have 'enough' check for that, before you put the stick in.....if you think there is too much urine or too little...you might want to pee in a cup and insert the stick that way, for about 15 seconds. You have more control that way , and it might be easier for you.

LOL!! I've been monitoring for almost a year now. We had planned on starting to try last fall, Tim chickened out and asked for more time, which I was okay with. Then we put it on indefinite hold when I got laid off
