DH surprised me last night after we agreed on no gifts...

I had told him no flowers or stuffed animals. Just a card and a poem. So I get home and there is this huge bouqet of flowers in the bedroom that came with a vase, an I love you teddy bear and one of those helium balloons that said "Happy Valentine's Day". I didn't have the heart to say "I told you not to get me flowers" after someone does a thoughtful thing, and in the end I really did appreciate it. But I felt bad cuz I didn't get him anything, cuz I thought we had agreed on no gifts.

I only got him a card and wrote him a love letter. He insisted that was enough for him. Should I get him something or just let it go?

That is sweet of him. I think a card & letter are a great v-day gift.

I did make him his favorite cake the night before...

Oh and he also wrote the poem the I requested.

thats really sweet! he wanted to spoile his wife.....maybe bc it wont be just the 2 of u much longer.! someone else will be around to spoile!
