Teachers (tax question)

I have been taking tons of classes to move up on the pay scale. Mostly grad, some inservice. Can I claim these on my taxes? Will I be able to get some of this money back?

You can write off A LOT. Save all your receipts, even if you spend your own money on a class party.

If you pay union dues, those can also be deducted.

Also, your books and the gas/mileage to and from your classes counts.

This is all good to know. I feel like I spent so much money professionally in 2005!
