I feel so bad!-Angry!
My sister just called me and told me that the board of ed is cutting all breafast programs in public schools!
This isn't a big deal for her...1. My nephew that goes to a special school is on a special diet and can only eat certain foods. 2. My sister is well off so doesn't have to worry about feeding her child.
But we have done fund raisers for this school in the past...it has 170 + children with disablilities. SO many of these families are poor. All these kids get ARE these 2 school meals.
I feel so bad for them!
She is now in the process of writing to all companies to donate food.

Does she need any help with the letter writing campaign? I'm sure we could get a LIF petition going. That is ridiculous..some of those children depend on that program to get a balanced meal throughout the day. How can these children function in school if breakfast is the supposed foundation of the day's nutrition?

That is horrible! Breakfast is such an important meal for growing kids!

You girls are great! She is in the process of finding out who they need to contact in the Board of Ed.
WAIT! it got a little more interesting!!! The principal told her that they will not be giving the kids any type of juice with thir lunches cause it's considered a "breakfast" food! 
The pricipal thinks this was an error and is looking into it.
So far they went to BJ's and bought a bunch of cereal and bread. This school is lucky...it's small...what about bigger schools with more kids????
