My cbm question of the day! LOL

This is a total longshot and I think I am losing my mind with how much I think about this constantly but I was wondering...

If you get 2 bars on the cbm...and bd while you have the 2 bars...and wind up getting pregnant...would you never get the 3 bars because you are already pregnant?? Does that even make sense?? LOL Anyone?

Re: My cbm question of the day! LOL

I need to tell you the monitor is not always accurate. You could have already ovulated, even though you didn't get a peak reading. Sometimes it misses your exact LH surge...you need to interpret the sticks they are more valuable then the monitor.
However, if you are pregnant...and still using the monitor....you would get a peak reading. The monitor sticks when you are pregnant show the LH line extremely dark, and the estrogen line a lot lighter. (LH is almost the same molecular structure as HGC, and estrogen line gets lighter when estrogen surges...and estrogen surges in pg)

Do you save the sticks ? Do you have photos of them ??? I can tell you which may have been a LH surge...how is your chart looking ?? Always compare the two.

I havent been able to chart at all. My schedule is so crazy right now and I have been waking up for hours at a time at night, so I dont think they would be dependable temps. I didnt save the sticks so I cant show you them Chat Icon

Although I truly feel as if I did ovulate the first couple of days I had gotten the 2 bars because of the pains I was having. But who knows?

Re: My cbm question of the day! LOL

The monitor is a device that tracks your cycles. If your cycle is a bit different sometimes the monitor will be off.

The lines on the sticks reveal all....that's what is measuring the LH and estradoil.

Many people have clear ovulation when charting but never reach peak on the monitor.

Don't be discouraged if you don't see peak.... but keep on bding to be safe.

Re: My cbm question of the day! LOL

Just to add my .02 cents (from personal experience)

I had really irregular cycles when I first started using the CB monitor. It definitely took up to 3 months before the monitor started 'understanding' my cycle, and even then it was erratic. Often I never got a "peak" reading at all (my cycles were all over the place.. some months I ovulated on CD16, some months CD20 and sometimes not at all... it was frustrating to say the least)

Those first few months, I would have "high" readings 6-8 days even, because it could not quite pinpiont what was going on with me..

But rather than discourage you with this, now to encourage you. On the month I DID get PG, I had NEVER gotten a PEAK reading. Somehow the monitor didn't detect it, but since DH and I had BDd every other day during my "high" fertility days, we must have caught that eggie somehow, somewayChat Icon

As the others have said, charting IS really important, esp. when you have irregular cycles. The temperature rise is really the ONLY sure way you'll know if you did or did not ovulate.

Quite fortunately for me, now that I'm back to charting and using the monitor since my M/C, I've noticed that my cycles are like clockwork. The monitor works a LOT better as a result, and always gives me a peak reading .. but again, its always a few days different every month, so its good to use all of the above methods (charting/temping/checking your CM) along with the monitor

Good luck and lots of BD Chat Icon Chat Icon
