Son needs bloodwork done.... any recommendations of labs good with frightened/strong children?
DS went to the dr. yesterday and we were told he has coxsackie. Now he broke out in major hives (lips swollen, face looks horrible) and we went back again and now is having an allergice reaction as well. They recommended we go for bloodwork since he had a reaction like this once before, but the problem is, he is extremely scared of the dr's visits and is very strong, and we need a good lab that might handle a strong, fighting child better than others. Anyone have any good experiences with a lab (Quest)? Thanks!

Sorry I can't recommend one but I am very phobic about needles and my Dr. prescribed a cream that you put on an hour or two before you get the shot/bloodwork done and it numbs the whole area for a few hours. Could that help him be less fearful? I mean you feel NOTHING!
Oh- and it's safe for kids...it's actually used for kids

I thought the phlebologist at Huntington Medical Group were very good with Joseph.
