I used to do that all the time as a kid. I didn't know they still had that.

I was thinking the same thing, except it used to cost us like $1.99 a minute!!Chat Icon

I remember my Mom FREAKED when she got a $300.00 phone bill back in 1987 (Creep Phone, Santa, Party Lines).

I remember my sister was trying to use the phone to call her boyfriend and I was like "Well EXCUSE ME, I'm on a very important call with SANTA!!"Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I used to love that they had the continuation to a story every day. That was the gimmick, to keep you calling! Especially creep phone!

Aw that's cute. I never called.

However, I did pretend to be Santa for my niece one year when she just had to speak to him about how he was able to get all the toys to all the kids. She felt much better after talking to me- ooops I mean SantaChat Icon

How did that work out? Did you call her or did she call you? How did you disguise your voice? That sounds so cute! Kids are so precious (and so naive!Chat Icon )

She was so little at the time (but still a very strong minded child). My sister lived upstairs from my Mom at the time, so I went down to Mom's and my sister called Santa for her. I just used a deep voice and she never knew. My brother has done this also by going into the bathroom, running the water and my SIL calls his cell!
