Question for BTDT with Potty training
Emily went pee pee on the potty for the first time today!! She was in the bath and just said to me pee pee mommy. I took her out and put her on her little potty, thinking naa, she must have ment she went in the bath. Well, to my surprise she went in her little potty. Now, here's my question.. I don't want to pressure her in anyway. She'll be two on Saturday. I am in no rush, but what would you recommend I do next? Just keep waiting for her to tell me when she has to go? Should I just start a routine of trying to have her go? I am clueless and I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!!

I'd go with it and ask her to sit in regular intervals and see how she does.

As always Sharon, thanks for the cheers!! Em needs to be out of diapers and potty trained. Wouldn't it be so nice if they could be trained so easily. How's Amber? Can't wait to see the girls together on Saturday.

Re: Question for BTDT with Potty training
Everyone is probably going to disagree with me, but I say pressure away. Not pressure as in "You need to go it the potty or Mommy won't love you" kind of thing. Pressure as in "Yeah! Let's do the potty dance!" When she gets the idea that you're thrilled with it, she'll keep it up. Also to start prepping her for nighttime, start limitiing the amount of fluids she has at night.
and YEAH for her!!!

Nope, I agree. I was just trying to say it in a nonchalant way

Re: Question for BTDT with Potty training
It was funny when she saw my reaction when she went pee pee. I hugged her and clapped and called Daddy, Grandma and Nonna. She was so excited. So, now I'll try "pushing" her. Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it.
