spinabifida test.... SOOO UPSET
i get a phone call last night to call the Dr.'s office today... the lab lost my blood that was tested for the spinabifida. My question is does anyone know what the lastest date you can take this test.. i know that you can only take this test with in a few weeks... just wondering if I am too late... they said if i come today it won't be, but I wanted to know your opinions.

I took it at 16 weeks- the AFP test. My doctor told me not to take it earlier than that, but he didn't say anything about taking it too late.

I know you're not supposed to have it earlier than 16 weeks, because that increases your chance of having a false positive. I think the results are valid between 16 and 18 (or 19) weeks.
