Still Here and it's getting harder

I am trying so hard to be positive and not develop a negative attitude about being overdue because I know it won't change anything but it's not easy.

With all the talk of induction back when I was 34 weeks I thought for sure I would have my little girl by now. Believe me I am thrilled that my health improved and I have the chance to go natural but now I am feeling like if I need to be induced that something is wrong with my body, kind of like its not good enough to have a baby.

Physically I am uncomfortable but not miserable. My sciatica is really the worst of my problems right now. Mentally it's just kind of draining.

Thanks for listening to me vent.

It will be over soon and before you know it your little girl will be in your arms...it will be worth the wait

awwww is there anything you can do to make yourself feel more comfortable??? Lake a manicue or pedicure..

Or go by yourself a nice comfy outfit to lounge around in...?

Try to stay positive about being induced..(because your starting to scare me a little )

Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll just move really really fast...that way the pain wont get the best of ya' and you'll be that much closer to holding your baby!

Didn't mean to scare you. I didn't mean it like my body won't work if I'm induced and I'll end up with a c-section its just more the frustration of why isn't my body working now and going into labor when it's supposed to.

I may go get a mani and pedi today.

I know the waiting is hard, but your little one will be here before you know it!!!!! Hang in there.

although I went into labor naturally I was stuck at 1cm for over 8 hours - so I had quite a bit of pitocin and a vaginal delivery - I know everyone is different but try not to stress too much - it can be any minute now - trust me, in one second your whole life can change! Enjoy you last moments of free time.

I know exactly how you feel! While I have not yet reached my due date (tomorrow) I've been dialated and effaced for 3 weeks and really thought I'd've met my baby by now! My dr will not let me go more than a week overdue which is good and bad. Good because, like you, I'm impatient now and want to meet him/her but bad because I SO want a natural and non-medicated labor and delivery. When you go to the dr on Monday is that when they'll give you an induction date? How much longer will he let you go after Monday? Mine'll let me go the week and that's it.

I know how hard it is for you to take your mind off it...I've been trying to find some kind of project to keep me occupied but it's not working.
