2-3 weeks later--I was told the first time I drove should be to my 2 week PP check-up.

Re: Mom's that had C-sections

I don't drive...LOL But I had a C-Section too and was just wondering how you are feeling? Are you still feeling sore pains?

It took about 2 weeks for me for the soreness to go away and now i'm fine.

Re: Mom's that had C-sections

I was given the okay to drive 6 days after my c-section. As soon as my doctor took the staples out I was good to go.

I was told to wait 2 weeks...I did it before, but I was a little dizzy - I think b/c I lost my appetite after and wasn't eating much

Re: Mom's that had C-sections

I went for a 2 week check-up - she wanted to check my incision. She said all is well. And when I asked her when can I drive again - she told me I could - but limited. She said she prefer I didn't, only because if I got into an accident - the steering wheel would hit where my incision was.
She now got me paranoid to drive.

I am feeling good, thanks for asking.
About 2 days after coming home, I really didn't feel it anymore. But after I went and got the stery (sp) strips taken off - it is a little sore. But nothing to really complain about - how are you feeling?

I drove about a week after I got home, which was about 10 days after having her.

Re: Mom's that had C-sections

I drove about 2 weeks later. Doctor said he was most concerned if I had to slam on the break or make any sudden movements while driving that could effect the incision.

This was the same for me. I think it was 8 days for me though, since DD was born on a Sunday.

Re: Mom's that had C-sections

Are you scared to drive with the baby? That I was totally petrified of, I never even drove with other people's kids in my car. I was so scared that she would start to cry and I'd be on the highway or something, but worst of all, that I'd get into an accident or something. Once you do it, you'll see, it's not so bad at all and you'll be back to your "old driving self" before you know it. I'll tell you what though...you really start to notice all the azzholes on the road when you drive with a baby. I feel like shouting out..."BABY in the car, jerk!!!"
