Re: San Diego
Yes! mine and DH's first trip together was to San Diego
Of course hit the parks - San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Balboa Park is really nice too. About 30 miles north is the Wild Animal Park which I thought actually blew the San Diego Zoo out of the water.
Coronado Island is really nice too.
Lots of nice cute restaurants in Old San Diego too.

Re: San Diego
What everyone else said, also make sure you have a car...take a trip up to Temecula for the wineries - totally worth it and about an hour away. We also went to what was referred to I think as the Old Town for a great Mexican dinner! We also went sailing one day and both got to take the wheel. Besides our HM our favorite trip - have a great time!

Re: San Diego
I just got back from San Diego. I would definitely say, if you like Mexican food, go to Old Town for lunch or dinner.
Coronado Island is beautiful as well as Balboa Park.
If you have the chance, I would also go to La Jolla. The views are wonderful. Have lunch on the beach and watch the seals.
Here is a pic that we took in La Jolla where we had lunch: Image Attachment(s):

Re: San Diego
We stayed on Coronado and only left to check out the Zoo. I would highly recommend staying on Coronado.

Re: San Diego
I LOVEDDDDD SAN DIEGO.
Its great there, you have the city, beachy towns and La Jolla.
Try and go to Trattoria Acqua in La Jolla, it a great Italian restaurant with beautiful views. There is also great shopping in La Jolla.
We stayed on Pacific Beach and it was great, lwe also went to Mission Beach and we rollerbladed and biked along the beaches.
A few nights we went down to the Gaslamp district for dinner and to some bars, which was fun.
Definately rent a car to get around, visit the zoo, the aquariam and we went to a Padres game too.
