Test results back today
DH and I are in DC, but the Dr. called my cell to give us DH's test results. They were specific tests that had to done by a lab in (Minnesota?? Chicago?? I forget).
ANyway ....the results were all GOOD!!!! He said that test 1 was 11 and test 2 was 5 and both are fine as long as they are under 15. I can't even remember what the tests are for -- Redstar do you know?? All I know is that the results are good, lol.
He also says that my tests showed that I have a genetic predisposition to blood clots -- which does not affect my fertility but does affect the ability to carry a baby. So I am starting on baby aspirin as of today besides the BCP.

Thats great news Kara!
Wonder what you tested positive for? I'm assuming something in the thrombophilia panel for you to need BA.

Yea! That's good news!!
Except the clots, but at least they know that now and are being proactive.
It sounds so sad to say "out loud" but I actually look forward to the baby aspirin at night. It's like a little orange flavored treat!!

Re: Test results back today
Great News Kara !! I hope you can enjoy your DC trip with these positive results.
As far as Test 1 being under 11 and Test 2 being under 5....the only thing I can think of is the NK assay. Although I thought they already told you that came back fine. Perhaps before they didn't do the full test ? The lab in Chicago that SIRM uses (millenova),....will not only tell you if you have NK cells present but how you would suppress if you were to use IVIg. But you don't have to worry about this, it can get way too confusing :)
Baby asprin is such a great preventative....so I am glad you are on it. SIRM's IVF protocol really includes a lot of preventative treatment.

Re: Test results back today
Thanks ladies --- the things we were tested for are as follows (and no I don't really know what they are either, lol!!)
ME: APA (antiphospholipid antibodies), ATA (antithyroid antibodies), NKa (Natural killer cell activation) and RIP (Reproductive immunophenotype). Prolactin and TSH. Everything good, except this is where they determined my genetic propensity for clotting -- not a big deal at all though.
DH: Thrombophilia panel and a Sperm DNA Integrity Assay (SDIA). He's had so many SAs already, we know his issues, but these tests show that he doesn't have additional issues.
