How far along AM I?

This is driving me nuts. I know I can be OCD about certain things but not really knowing what week I am in is driving me crazy. Here's the situation. Hope its not TMI-

DH and I did the deed August 19th. I ovulated August 20th. So according to day one of my LMP which was August 7th I should be 9 weeks, right? But then according to the sono I had last Tuesday, they sais because of the measurements (1.02 or 1.06 cm, there are 2 numbers, I don't know which is the baby), they told me I was only 7 weeks, not 8 at that point. What do you girls think. Here's the thing, unfortunately DH and I did not have much more sex than that at that time

Ok. My LMP (b/c I need to relate everything to myself to figure stuff out!) was July 27th and I am 10 weeks, 3 days today. So, your LMP was August 7th, I think that makes you 9 weeks tomorrow, correct?

What day was your appointment last week? Maybe you were 7 weeks and a couply of days and they just went to the lower number??

ETA: My mother keeps trying to make me less pregnant than I am, so I understand how frustrating it is. She is always shocked when I tell her what week I am.

Well I am equally confused because my LMP was July 24th and the doctor said I was due May 10th making me only 9 weeks as of last thursday. But if i count from LMP I should be due April 26 making me 11 weeks.

I have an appointment next Friday so I am hoping I will get a more exact date.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the sonogram is more accurate than relating it to your LMP...either way, good luck!

I had the same problem. My LMP was July 1st, so I should have been due April 7th, but due to the size of the baby, they said I am due April 12th. My doctor said that not everyone ovulates exactly the same amount of time after you have your period. So, I ovulated a little later than usual and therefore got PG a few days later than what would be the "normal" cycle. It could be the same for you. The sono is more accurate than going by the date of your LMP, that is just an estimate. HTH!

As far as I have heard, the sonogram is more accurate in determining growth. I think it's because implantation timing can be different - not always when you BD.
