Mom's who had c-sections

I had my DD 6 months ago, and I still get pain now and then by my scar area almost like gas pain but its very annoying and it makes me look like I'm 5 months pregnant from the pressure I feel. It comes and goes, but I just get worried like something is wrong. I went to the doctor last month and he said everything is normal, but I still get this pain. Its even worse when I get my period. Does anyone else feel any difference or get any pain still? TIA!

It's been 7 months since Jared was born. I'm still a little numb, but there is no pain. I don't change around my period either. I would ask the doctor again...Chat Icon

It takes a while to heal. I would check with your doctor again if the pain doesn't go away.

Re: Mom's who had c-sections

Thankyou all for responding, I will call my doctor again just to make sure i'm ok! I'm sure its just gas pains.....but its stil weird how I have pain around my period time. I was joking with my husband yesterday and I said I think when my stomach was open for so long during surgery a lot of air got inside and its still trying to come out--lol Chat Icon

6 months pp here also and I do occasionally get a twinge of pain around the scar area. Around that time of the month, if I get bloated, the area looks weird...kind of like puffy. Also, lately the scar has been very itchy.

I wouldn't say I have gas pain, but the area is still tender to the touch 4 months later. I often wonder if it's normal and then I get paranoid that they put something back wrong! Like BabyAvocado, my scar area is puffy, but mine is like that all the time.

Re: Mom's who had c-sections

It is scary...and these are the times that remind me that c/s are major surgery.
I actually needed a 2nd surgery, 11 months after my c/s for scar tissue "adhesions" which caused me pain every single day.

If you are concerned you may want to consult a 2nd OB/GYN. That way you are truly getting an objective opinion on the situation.

Wow! I'm sorry that happened to you, that must of been so scary.Thats good to know though, I will ask my OB/GYN about that. I hope thats not what I have though, I would be sooooo nervous if I needed surgery again. Chat Icon I dont have pain everyday, it comes and goes, it feels mostly like gas pain but just worse then I've had before? So weird.
