Need help with a dilema Job related (a little long)
Okay I used to be a regular poster but stopped posting and have a small dilemma that I need help with and nobody seems to be able to give me a straight answer. Including my husband. So here goes:
I went on an interview last week and was offered the job yesterday. What it is is 40 hr. work week, at $14.00 an hour which comes to 560 a week in pay before taxes. (so I guess that would make it about 476 a week. ) The job is close to my home,(5 min away) gives me sick days, personnal days and 2 weeks vacation. Health benefits (I dont know when they kick in but I add about 50.00 to it from my pay check)
Where I am now, I get 450 a week take home and at the end of the month I get 100.00 cash from my boss. I get no sick, no personnal days. I do get a weeks vacation. If Im sick I work unless Im dying. and its an hour commute.
what should I do? the job offer is what I used to do before kids what I am doing now is just a receptionist and have to deal with alot of B. S.
I have an idea of what I want but not sure I am hesitating cause I havent done it in awhile. Seriously what do you guys think.

I'd take the job closer to your house. Sometimes those sick days and vacation days are worth more than 100 dollars...
Also..less stress (and time) driving to work.

I would without a doubt, take the new job. Time off, close to home which means close to the kids, health...just sounds a lot better to me.

I think you should go for the new job. Its closer to home, gives you more time off, and the money is just about the same. Plus, it doesnt sound like you really enjoy what you are doing now.
I say go for it!!! Good luck with whatever you choose

For me there would be no question - the new job.
You get: more vacation/personal/sick days (less stress) shorter commute (saves money) what you want to be doing (happier with your job)
It's a no brainer if you ask me!

The new job sounds good. Being closer to home without the commute is a huge plus!
