Anyone have a gas stove?
What are your flames like? How much orange should you see? Also, one burner seems as if it is putting out a lot of flame.

Re: Anyone have a gas stove?
I have one now for the first time in my life, I hardly see any orange, unless it is on high.
Could there be something cooked onto the burner that it is causing a higher flame?

Re: Anyone have a gas stove?
We have electric in the new house (unfortunately) but look at the burners on your stove; do they have circular things that sit on top of where the flame comes out? Some of them are different sizes and might be on the wrong burner. Try switching them and see what happens.....

Re: Anyone have a gas stove?
Your flame should be mostly blue. It should not have too much orange.

Re: Anyone have a gas stove?
It should be mostly blue. On one of burner, the largest one if I turn it to high it has some flickers of orange. I read in Parenting magazine that you shouldn't have any orange and if you do you should have it checked.

I agreee, too much orange means too much oxygen is getting in there. You should read the manual to see what it means on your stove and how to fix it.

Re: Anyone have a gas stove?
Call the gas company and have someone check it for you. I had gotten a new stove and had major issues with the size of the flame (lapping over pots and burning the sides of my pots) and the colors of the flame and even the sound of the flames. They tried adjusting it but it turns out I needed a new stove, it was defective. I wouldn't take any chances with gas flames. Call someone ASAP to adjust your flame

Re: Anyone have a gas stove?
Thank you for your replies. I've never had a gas stove so I'm not sure what is or isn't normal.

DH looked at it last night and he switched some around and now it's good. Thank you!
