On the subject of splits, my daughter just fell down the stairs in our split level this morning so I am hating mine right now. I just wish our bedrooms were on the same floor or were a whole flight up where they didnt want to go up and down endlessly.

I've never been a fan of splits. What happens if you sprain your ankle? You always have to go up or down the stairs to go to the bathroom.

I guess I look at the layout of houses differently because my Dad is disabled. As people age, it's very hard to constantly do the stairs and splits become difficult for them to live in. JMHO.

Liz, I hope she is ok... Andrew took a tumble down our stairs the other night too, and what made it worse is that he was riding this little trike around so that went down with him. All is ok here.

That's how I look at it too. My next house will be a sprawling ranch.

Not a fan of splits.
