What is your credit score
I just got my credit report, and thought my score would be alittle better than it was...
Want to see what the "norm" is

Re: What is your credit score
Mine is now over 700, however, I have spent the last 9 years working to get it there. Ever since I started dating Darren...he kicked my arse into shape so that it would be fixed and perfect by the time we wanted to buy a house.
Make sure you go over your credit report with a fine tooth comb though...there really could be mistakes that can affect your score.

Ours is at 750. Both DH and I agreed before a year before we got married to let any bad credit out of the bag. We cleaned everything up and consolidated all of our credit cards onto a low interest card and payed it off. We were looking towards the future at that point. So when we recently went to go for a mortgage, we got told you have the best credit we have seen in a long time.
We only have 1 major credit card. I have 1 clothing card and that is all we have. We keep a running small balance of around $2000 - $3000 to keep us in the credit pool, but we pay more the the minimum every month. Everything else we pay cash or else we save for it.

Re: What is your credit score
I screwed up when I was younger, but I worked to get it up.
www.myfico.com is a good site. You can get all your reports and they give you tips on how to fix it. It's entirely possible that yours is not what you think because of errors, so it might help to look into that. I was surprised by the errors on mine.

Re: What is your credit score
Both DH and I have credit scores over 800. We're very proud of it! Our broker was impressed so I know we'll have no trouble getting a mortgage when the time comes.

i have 2 credit cards (pier 1 and american express) i use the amex weekly but haven't used the pier 1 in about 6 months. i ALWAYS pay the amex in full each month but was told that it is best to have 3 credit cards, make sure that you use them about once a month and pay the bill in full. according to the credit reporting agencies, 1-2 open credit accounts is not enough.

Re: What is your credit score
I have NO diea what my credit score is. I have 3 credit card accounts and one store card which I don't use. I have a history of late and missed payments though, but I've been working in the past year to get that back on track. FH must have great credit. he has 4 credit cards and 3 store cards and I don't think he's ever missed a payment or made a late payment.

Is there a way to find out without filing a credit report?
