Post Closing Review Fee????
What the heck is this??? It's listed for $275 on my fees and I want to know if it is BS or not. There is no number next to it to identify what it is. There is another charge for $600 that is for the lawyer, so I can't imagine what this is.
Anyone know? It's a fee from Chase Bank's closing cost worksheet.

I would call chase and ask them what excatly that charge is for. We did not have any "post closing fees" at all.

what the heck is that? Why would your closing have to be reviewed POST closing? and anything PRE closing would be reviewed by the title closer.

Ok I pulled out a copy of my good faith estimate from my mortgage lender and we did not have a post closing review fee. but we did have a closing agent courier fee which was listed as $35. We were not charged that fee, but I am listing our actual fees below.
Loan Origination fee (1% of mortgage)
appraisal fee 325
credit report 16
flood services fee 16
tax fee 80
interest 168.48
4th QT taxes 906.52
attorneys fee 925
title insurance 2,152
notice of settlement 80
recording fee for deed 100
recording fee for mortgage 275
recording fee for release 75
survey 500
misc. file/title costs 85
overnight mail 60
homeowners association move in fee and November dues 554
total costs for us 9,242.99
(the seller paid
20,049.75 to the realtors,
1,000 to their attorney
150 for their recording of the release of their mortgage
3,224.60 for their taxes
100 to re-record and improper deed transfer
20 for overnight mail
25 for attorney expenses
total cost for seller 24,569.35)

600 for the atty is most likely for the bank attorney. They work for the bank but you pay. 600 is actually reasonable most attys charge 700. Post closing not sure about

The bank attorney fee is usually between 500-700 buks.

i asked my mortgage person and they said that the 600 estimate was what my personal attorney was estimated at. it is a national estimate. those are the estimates of the fees you should expect to have to pay at closing. My actual costs were different than those listed on the estimate form. I gave you my actual fees that I had to pay at the closing and not the estimated fees the bank provided.
the mortgage company's fee for me was 2,999. It included their attorney and all of their costs like originating the loan, paperwork, mailing stuff.
