Is there a way to store baby's christening gown?
Do you think I can bring it somewhere and have the same thing done to it as I did to my wedding dress? Anyone have any idea how much it would cost? I spent way to much money on Ava's dress to just throw it in a closet and let it turn yellow. Anbody have a good place I can bring it to?

My MIL told me to store it in blue tissue paper and put it in an airtight container. (Hers is almost 50 years old and looks new.)

I took it to my dry cleaner who did my dress and they cleaned it & boxed it like the wedding dress. But tiny sized :) It cost me about $27 for the cleaning, preservation & box

My gf put her daughters in a shadowbox(had a framing place do it and seal it). It looks outrageous on the babys wall. I'm thinking of doing it since our nursery is victorian.

I'd love to have the info too. I got some quotes that were much higher from a few dry cleaners that I checked out in my area. I keep forgetting I want to do it but my other option was to order an acid free box and tissue paper and do my own preserving of sorts.

My grandmother's gown is what my mom/andher sisters, my sister and I and Molly all wore. It was in a plain box with acid free tissue paper..no special cleanings. It is 80+ years old.
