Way TMI question about breastfeeding & sex.
Ok My fiance asked me this last night and I did not know the answer. Him being the breast man that he is and me planning on breast feeding he was wondering if my breast will be completley off limits to him. I would assume they will leak and stuff. sorry TMI

Depends. I BF for a year, and DH would shy away at first, thinking it was weird, and I never leaked.. Then I think he just forgot about it and there was no concern. I think its natural for them to shy away knowing its for baby , but each woman is different in how her body m ight react.

Re: Way TMI question about breastfeeding & sex.
Sorry looked but than had someone come into my office & didnt' want them to see me on a pregnancy board for fear the rumors would start.
For me, the leaking was only the first few weeks when my body was trying to adjust the amount of milk production I would need.
As for him being a breast man, unless he plans on competing with the baby for milk, fondling is the option.

You'll probably get more responses on the parenting board. Many people, of course not all, on this board are first time mommies.

Re: Way TMI question about breastfeeding & sex.
It really all depends... I'd say for the first month or two, yeah, it's totally off limits. The first few weeks are painful as it is, so I can assure you, you won't want anyone coming near them. After that, it takes about 8 weeks for your milk supply to regulate. Before then you'll sometimes have too little milk, or too much milk, and that's when you leak. After about 8 weeks though, when your body regulates, it really shouldn't be a problem. It all really depends on your comfort level at that point and whether or not DH feels weird about it.

Re: Way TMI question about breastfeeding & sex.
Honestly for me..i was not comfortable with contact on my breasts other than Molly or my pump for a long time. Just me. I was also going thru very bad PPD and had other medical issues. My whole body was foreign to me. So I might not be the best person to ask. But regardless I wouldn't ever give up the nursing/pumping for any reason.

I've read that some men who are breast men will avoid the area for a while once they've seen you feeding their child with them.

Like moms can forget the pain of childbirth, they try forgetting EVERYTHING they've seen!
