ABN-AMRO people call TransUnion ASAP
We were one of the couples that could have been "potentially effected" because when I called they said that the tape was still all wrapped up and secure. Thanks for that! Anyway, I called TransUnion today (it takes forever to get through, but keep trying) and they gave me 1 year of fraud protection.

A bank. Those of us that have mortgages with them had an identity theft scare (2 million customers!) earlier this week. They ended up finding the tape that was lost, but are still giving us 1 year of credit monitoring. There were a few posts on here and one on NFR about it.

It was in the letter they sent along with a code you need to give them that identifies you as an ABN customer. I don't have it in front of me, sorry.

Its ok. I just never received the letter everyone else got! I will call AMRO.
