Please answer quick! Stairs/molding question
We are finishing up our molding right now as we speak..
Our staircase is carpeted, and the carpet goes up the wall on the sides of the steps. We are not sure if we should put molding above the carpet???
Does anyone have pics of their stairs to show me?

if the carpet was installed after the sheetrock & it wraps over neatly & cover the sheetrock edge its your choice. If the sheetrock ends over the carpet then molding should be added.
Its more about the way you want it to look, my stairs aren't carpeted but I like molding up the stairs.

the carpet was added after the sheetrock so the edge is finished.
i think i want to leave it how it is... ray isn't sure... i am going to try to look for more pictures online right now.
I am not sure what to search for when looking for the pictures! I am not finding ANYTHING!

Thanks Kelly.. our stairs is like the 1st pic you posted with the carpet going up the wall a little bit... we decided to do the molding after all. We did all around it and this it will look better... more uniform. My DH and cousin are finishing up now!~
