Green Tea.....
Im addicted to Arizona Green Tea, with Ginseng and Honey. How much caffeine do you think is in it?? I only have one bottle a day.
I see that they make a decaff., but only found it in diet.

Re: Green Tea.....
My RE said to stay away from Green Tea if your PG, that it thins out the Uterus lining. Becuase I drink it a lot now as a TTC method....You should make sure it oks with your DR.
I dont think the caffenine is that much at all.

Re: Green Tea.....
One is fine, Im sure. My dr told me up to 500mg of caffine a day was OK. I have 1 cup of coffee usually and its no where near 500 mg.
ETA - wow I just saw Donna's post. I would stay away from it.

Re: Green Tea.....
Great, I just went to Sam's and just bought a case of it It is the only Iced tea I like and can tolerate. I go back to the RE tomorrow for blood work, so I will ask them if it is ok

I actually just went online to look for you and its VERY conflicted. I found a million references to it being SAFE and OK during PG and then a few references about it producing contractions ....So I guess your RE would know best...Im not a DR, so I would trust in what ever they say. Im sorry if I scared you because Im just going on what I hear

Re: Green Tea.....
I was so addicted to Turkey Hill Green Tea when I was pg with my daughter - I had never heard anything about it possibly not being good for you during pregnancy. I only heard that after the fact and I never investigated it further. As far as the caffeine, I remember checking that out and the Green Tea had slightly more caffeine (10-15mg) per serving that Decaf (5mg), less sugar though. HTH

Re: Green Tea.....
I was a huge Green Tea drinker, decaffeinated but was told to say away during pregnancy. I'd have a least a cup or 2 each day. Thank goodness I didn't crave it anyway...

When you speak to your RE, also ask about the ginseng. Many herbs are questionable during PG.
