I just read on another site that taking clomid...
increases the effects during the 2ww. It said that you actually feel tender breasts and actual pg symptoms more. I have never had this unless this is what I am feeling this month. Has anyone else ever heard this?

I definitely have had it from Progesterone, so I wouldn't be at all suprised if clomid did the same thing.

Re: I just read on another site that taking clomid...
Yep clomid plays a lot of tricks on the body. :) In fact, clomid tricks the body to believe it's not producing estrogen...
Anyway...tender breasts are due to an increase in progesterone. Progesterone should be high during the 2ww whether you are pregnant or not. Clomid is given to women to help raise progesterone levels or to induce ovulation. For instance if a person has luteal phase defect...clomid is usually prescribed.

Re: I just read on another site that taking clomid...
Clomid has made me have sore breasts yes...But its also the only "drug" besides injectables that will have you ovulate more then one egg. The alternative is Femara which DOES NOT increase your egg count, just causes you to simply ovulate anything you may have produced on your iwn...and is questionable now by the FDA...Clomid is not that great either. You should never take clomid for longer then 6 months...

Re: I just read on another site that taking clomid...
My breasts are always a little tender when I am PMSing, BUT with the Clomid it is almost unbearable. I have a very large chest and could not take my bra off for anything but showering this past week...they were beyond tender!

When I am in the 2WW my breasts are INCREDIBLY tender- it was the case before I started the clomid- but with the clomid, it is much, much worse.
