Some say this list is more accurate of clinics
http://www.sart.org/find_frm.html#
You can click on your diagnosis and see the actual percentage of pregnancy rates based on just the diagnosis.

Re: Some say this list is more accurate of clinics
The bad thing about this is it only lists SART Dr's...those Dr's have to apply to be registered as a SART dr....MANY are....but there are a LOT of great Dr's that are not. The Sart status started by Insurance companies wanting to "group" the dr's together...so If your Dr is not listed it means nothing in terms of how "good " they are

Re: Some say this list is more accurate of clinics
I didn't look up doctors, I looked up RE clinics. If you put in your zip, it will list all the NY clinics.
At that point, you can even focus in on your diagnosis and see what the IVF stats are with people in your situation. For instance, if you have male factor, they will tell you how successful they were with that. Some clinics have a 0% success rate with certain diagnosis...and I think that's critical in deciding on a clinic.

Re: Some say this list is more accurate of clinics
I guess I should have written "clinic" versus Dr...I meant the same thing. In NY and most of the tri state area almost 85% of all "clinics" are Sart...But in areas like Cleveland they dont utilize that rating as much and they have some of the best IVF statistics in their clinics in the country..
I was just trying to explain what SART meant in laymans terms...

Re: Some say this list is more accurate of clinics
Nancy they all do -- but not until they have taken you on as a patient. Your best bet is to get a prescription from you OB, GYN or even PCP. THen DH goes to Quest and does his business, and you will get results and take it from there.
You don't want to go to an RE which charges thousands of $$ just for a SA, until you have an idea of what if any your issues are. I would also suggest you ask your GYN for Cycle Day 3 blood test and an HSG. DO these things first because a) it's cheaper because it will be through your insurance if rx by your gyn, and b) this will give you an idea IF you need an RE clinic what to look for in that clinic...

actually, long before I went to NSUH, DH took all his SA to their andrology lab with just a prescription from his PCP.
